When was the fern pot made?

I have a 41/2 inch tall silver-plate fern pot marked “Made In England for Thomas Webb & Sons Melbourne” and with the code “R”. The Melbourne store, which operated from c1882 to 1930, was an agent for Elkington & Co. When was this pot made?

It is not possible to date this pot. The “R” is not in the right format to be an Elkington date code so it is not even possible to be sure about the manufacturer.
