what does this hallmarks mean and meanly the trumpet. i think it is English silver 18cth. and it looks like an ashtray
Sorry to tell you it is English electroplate and not silver, probably dating from the first half of the 20th century. The maker is James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield. The trumpet is their trade mark.

They are Dixon’s pattern number for the item.
