I would be grateful if you could tell me something about this mark. It looks like Walker&Hall, but I’m not sure. Can you read a date? What does the G mean?
Yes, this is Walker & Hall. You probably realise that it is electroplate rather than silver. The G is a date code; although there are no published references for W&H date codes I believe that this is the code for 1935 - an H in a similar style has previously been identified by one of our contributors as 1936.
Thank you very much!! I’m happy to know a bit more about it. The marks are from my grandfathers pepper and salt shakers. They were laying forgotten for a long time and I decided to give them a new life. Also thanks to them I did learn a lot about silver from your site .
