I have this spoon I don’t know anything about it, don’t even know if its silver or not. The only marking is that ship, don’t know if thats a makers mark or just decoration. Any info on the spoon will be helpful (value, maker, year made). Thank you
my advice is take it to a jeweller, they will test it. The ship marking resembles a ‘tudor rose’ decoration around it. A famous ship of the tudor era was of course the Mary Rose. Maybe its a commemorate spoon, its done in the style of a seal topped spoon whice were popular in the 17th and 18th century. But many examples were reproduced later than this.
