Hello. I have a pill box which despite looking through several books and scouring the web I cannot identify the marks. The x`s on the pictures indicate numbers - the picture of what looks like a sail or a scroll has a letter where the x is. These marks are tiny and are on the base of the box and again on the side.The box measures 1in x 1.6 in approx. I thought it may have been French or portugese but cannot confirm this. It is obviously continental. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Paul.
Portugal would be my guess.
