I have a cigarette case passed down to me
Stamping F F anchor lion R
Can anyone confirm origin please?

I believe I may know the answer but need to see a picture of the marks to be sure.

This is a Birmingham sterling silver hallmark with the date letter “r” (not R!) for the assay year 1916/17. FF is Frederick Field of Warstone Lane, Birmingham.
