I am wondering if anyone can help identify the maker of this three-legged, cauldron-style salt cellar, please?
The date mark is no longer legible and the maker’s mark is partially rubbed, as shown in the photos. It looks like ‘CH’ with
a circular mark above it.
It could be Caleb Hill, or Charles Hatfield. I know that Hill was a spoon specialist and so I’m thinking it’s probably Hatfield - or am I barking up the wrong tree…?
