R. Wallace & Sons Identification Help

Hi - I found this piece at a thrift store and am having trouble confirming the pattern and age. It appears to match the “Royal Rose” pattern, but it has a different marker than every Royal Rose piece I’ve found online; most of which date from the 60s and have “Wallace” printed on the back. My piece has the R W “Stag” S. On the left side it says “Sterling” and on the right it’s either 2000 or 1000 (hard to make out). Any help in pattern and approximate age would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

R. Wallace & Sons, Wallingford, Connecticut. Went by this name from 1871 to 1956. Currently called Wallace Silversmiths, Inc.

The hallmarks on the item he posted is very different from the item on Ebay. It was common in the past for designs to be shared by many companies or even copied without authorization. In short, I think they are the same items, or very similar at least, but from different manufacturers.

You’re right, I’m sorry. I didn’t imagine that such different hallmarks were the same company. Thank you.
