Pocket Watch case maker and date help please?

Hello,
This was my grandfathers pear cased pocket watch and I’m struggling to find the makers name. Can anyone please help?
I thought it might have been James Ariell but I thought the date stamp was 1769 and didn’t know if that would still fit?

The watch movement is engraved Ja White, London if that helps?

1769 looks right to me. J·A would therefore be Joseph Allen who registered his mark 20 May 1761.
