“1847” is part of a trademark used by this branch of the Rogers Bros companies. You will see that the IS mark of International Silver is also included here so that puts your tray into the 20th century and, judging from the lack of wear on the marks I would suggest mid to late 20th century. However, as it’s so difficult to date electroplate, that is just an educated guess.

So you’re probably already answered this question but I’m going to ask anyway so is it silver cuz I try to put up magnet to it in the magnet will not stick to it so what kind of material is that it was not silver that is a pop metal he used to belong to my grandmother and like I mentioned earlier some of the stuff that I’m posting come from her house so and I’m willing to sell it but I need to know what I’m selling too so that way I don’t get cheated on and I am grateful for your help
