Ive inherited a few old items from my grand parents and was looking to value some. Firstly (non working order) a silver pocket watch with the hallmarks -[/size]
[color=red]I have just notice these marks on top of the watch, hope these marks can date the watch.
I’m not sure who WHH was, but there is a bit of a mystery about the date. The case itself is very clearly marked with a Birmingham assay date of 1897, but the x date letter with the bar across it looks more like the one for 1846. I can only assume that some sort of repair was necessary at some point in the watch’s history and a part from a different watch was used.
