I purchased this spoon in London in the 70s at a small shop. Recently tried unsuccessfully to decipher the hallmark and would appreciate help. Also interested in value. Thanks.
This is a London hallmark with the date letter M for the assay year 1807/08. The maker’s mark is WE over WF for William Eley and William Fearn. I assume from the orientation of the hallmark that this is a teaspoon. If so, its value, based on completed Ebay auctions, is 5 - 10 GBP.
