Could you help me identify the origin and approximate age of this cutlery? They told me it is Portuguese from the beginning of the 20th century… Is that correct?

Yes, these are Portuguese marks. That boar mark with the Roman numeral II was used on second standard (.833) silver from Porto between 1887 and 1937.
