I bought an antique incense burner at a yard sale and can’t seem to identify the maker marks on it. It appears to be sterling but is not labeled so. So it’s either plated, very old sterling, or another country sterling. Any help in identifying when, where, and who made it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
This is English sterling silver. The marks which you show indicate that it was assayed in Birmingham in the assay year 1895/96 and it was made by the partnership of Saunders & Shepherd, a London-based company.
This is is a sugar caster, not an incense burner.
