Hi, I have a set of spoons with some marks on, could anyone translate them for me and let me know if they are silver or not. Thanks

You are correct. They are upside down. When inverted they read EPNS - electroplated nickel silver, so not silver. This mark cannot be ascribed to any particular manufacturer or, hence, date.

Thank you very much, they are still a pretty set of spoons only cost me a couple of poundd from the charity shop so will keep them
