Hi, I am assuming the cutlery I have is German 800 Silver but I can not work out the maker. Any help woul be appreciated thanks in advance
It’s definitely German. Have you looked through the German makers’ marks at German Hallmarks II, page 1 - Encyclopedia of Silver Marks, Hallmarks & Makers' Marks and Marks and Hallmarks of German silver and silverplate (from 1888)?
Thank you. I checked both those but it’s not there. Name looks like WAGENER certainly starts WA. They are lovely pieces with bearded goats so I would love to attribute them properly
Looks like Wagener to me too, but they might be the retailers.
