Hello im looking gor any info on this i know its Wilcox but don’t know mucus about any of the silver i have. Most was given to me by my grandmother anything about any.of it is so helpful
If it is Wilcox, it’s silver plate, not sterling silver, and is, therefore, not worth very much. Take a look on eBay at Wilcox silver. Ignore the “buy it now” prices, which often reflect a lot of wishful thinking. Instead, look at the “sold” items, which will tell you the real story.
UK sterling will always have a proper set of British hallmarks (it’s the law). Sterling from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico is almost always clearly labeled, “STERLING.” Most European countries have their own hallmark requirements for sterling silver.
Silver plate, on the other hand, is sort of the Wild, Wild West. Often difficult to determine who made it, and especially, when. But it’s not widely collected, so ultimately it doesn’t matter much.
Give it a good bath in warm water and liquid detergent, then hit it with some silver polish. Don’t get too aggressive - silver plate is tough, but it can be worn away. Then enjoy having shiny stuff!
