I am new on this site and I want to thank you for accepting me.
I have a small hair brush plated with silver (I presume) with no marks other than it is written “Tibor” on it. For silver objects with no marks on them how can we trace them over the history?! My question sounds a little bit silly:). Because I have 2 more objects with no marks but I was told that there are made from silver.
There appears to be marks in Pic No2, just below the bristles 
Well spotted, Jools! One of the marks looks like 800; no doubt the other is that of the manufacturer but it’s too small and blurred to see any details.

That makes sense as I googled the word Tibor thinking it was a name for like Trevor or Terry !!! 
, turns out it’s Slavic for Sacred Place
