Hi Silver Experts! I got this teapot. The hall mark states “M.H & Co. Martinolo” I researched it, could you please confirm that it is made by Martin Hall & Co. in 1854? How much do you think it’s worth?
Yes, that’s Martin, Hall & Co. The word is “Martinoid”, which was a patented white metal which they used. I cannot confirm your date - I can only suggest the latter part of the 19th century. To get an idea of what it’s worth I suggest you check out the completed auction prices on eBay for electroplated tea pots by well-known manufacturers such as Martin, Hall & Co, Walker & Hall, Elkington, etc.
