Can you help me identify the age & markings of this jam spoon please
The mark is from William Hutton & Sons, Birmingham. The BP is for Britannia plate, basically electroplated pewter. They produced things like this from the late 19th Century until about 1930 - it’s not really possible to date the pieces more accurately than that.

I have it from the family collection & wondered if it has a significant value or just to let it go.
No matter how clear the marks were, they wouldn’t provide any date information. Almost without exception, only hallmarked sterling silver provides a date letter.
Silverplate generally has only decorative value. A quick look on eBay reveals that spoons like this are often available for less than a tenner.
