I am wondering who made this and what it is worth? I found one like it in a silver plate but this is marked as Sterling.
The “phoenix” mark appears to be from the Meriden Britannia Company, but that’s only slightly better than an educated guess.
Value? Weigh it (can’t tell from your photo whether it’s giving ounces or troy ounces), then visit one of the many sites that provides a “scrap” value, like:
That’s the floor value - melted down, it’s worth at least that much. Beyond that, the value depends on what a collector might be willing to pay for it. It appears to be very decorative (a timeless design, IMO - I like it), and in excellent condition, both of which help immensely.
If you can find something similar that has sold recently on eBay (ignore the “buy it now” prices, which often are based on a lot of wishful thinking), that will give you some idea.
Thank you for the info. That helps a lot!
