Can anyone please identify these 2 makers marks... FS + J_K?

I’d hoped to be able to figures these out myself… but can’t! I assume they’re both silver plated and 19thC? The Candle Wick Snuffer clearly shows ‘FS’ inside a Rectangle Box, any ideas who this is and what the 2 symbols following the FS mean? If not British… could FS be European… any guesses?

The lovely tray is by another manufacturer, which appears to have 3 initials: J(something)K? Then another strange symbol, followed by, maybe ‘EP’ for Electroplating?

UPDATE:
Thanks to Phil, I now know the tray has the same marks as other mystery marks which are ‘JW (flower) BP’. And I’ve now located the identical tray, on EBay, with a JW marker’s mark assigned to James Wintle. Does this sound correct and are the currently ‘Unknown’ makers mark in the Gothic Font, actually James Wintle??

Any insights as to who these are by, what the symbols mean and approx age, would be very much appreciated! Cheers, Simon

The initials on the tray are [J] [W] [flower] [B] [P]. This is noted as “unidentified” here with 2 marks illustrated each with a different flower. BP is Britannia Plate, a form of electroplate.

I have been unable to find FS.

Thanks Phil… great find! It is the same, just wish we knew who they were! And do you think FS could be European… Germanic??

Hi again Phil… I’ve located the identical tray, assigned to James Wintle, with a different JW font. What are your insightful thoughts… could my tray be by James Wintle and approx age?

Thanks for the link… very interesting! So the Snuffer may be European/German…?

James Wintle registered his last mark in 1838 and was mainly a maker of spoons and other flatware. The invention of Britannia Plate was long after he was probably dead. So, no, I don’t think your JW could be James Wintle.
