Hi, I’m assuming this is an American silverplate teapot of some kind? I tried to capture the mark, which is HB & H S under a crown.
I’d like to know who the maker was and how this teapot is used. I’ve. never seen one like it.
Thank you!

This is just a WAG - wild-ass guess - but I suspect this isn’t American plate, but is by Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield. Prolific makers, who used all sorts of marks, and who, until 1896, freely sprinkled crowns on their marks, before it was outlawed.
But I can’t find any definitive references, so take this guess for what it is.
Thank you Jeff. Your WAG is a far cry better than mine!
For sure!
Ah, yes. I had seen that page, but hadn’t noticed the important photo, which is precisely this mark. Well-spotted.
ETA: BTW, I made an entire career out of having a pretty good guessing percentage.
