Tiny little fork for ID

Found this tiny little fork amongst a haul of cutlery, not familiar with the marks !!!. Would appreciate some help please

Can’t help with the marks, but it looks like it would be perfect for consuming large numbers of olives stuffed with blue cheese. I’ll send you my mailing address.

I think that the XXX mark is Dutch, but can’t confirm at the moment.

The XXX appears on the Amsterdam coat of arms and flag. They’re ‘saltires’ or St. Andrews’ crosses. You see them more often on jewelry.

In any event, that certainly does suggest a Dutch connection. No luck finding PID, however (or is it PTD?).

P Something D is all I managed :confounded:, it’s a mystery one this is !!. You’ll get it eventually Jeff, you’re a hound

Some things get lost in the mists of time, and just aren’t discoverable. Records disappear in fires, in floods, in wartime, or through simple neglect.

Do you think it is Silver rather than plate Jeff !!!

No clue, but if forced to guess, I’d say silver. Somewhere (can’t find it) I saw a reference to the XXX Amsterdam mark being an assay mark. Plate wouldn’t be assayed, of course.

Apologies for being a pest but would this be classed as an Apostle Fork and what may be the figure at the bottom !!, I see it as a skeleton :flushed:

That’s certainly what it looks like - right design. I see the figure on the “business end” being a woman - maybe hair pigtail buns on either side of her head, slightly padded shoulders, wasp waist, flowing dress.

But I still say it’s an olive fork, and I want it.

I thought I’d post a size comparison of the fork
