Can anyone identify this hallmark for me please.
That’s electroplate (not sterling) from Dyke Brothers, Glasgow and Sheffield.

With some occasional exceptions, electroplated things sell for very little. They contain virtually no precious metal, and they were produced in their millions. A highly decorative object in pristine condition might bring some cash, but you’ll often see things like silverplate teaspoons being flogged in large batches on eBay: twenty teaspoons, “buy it now” price of £9. or best offer.
The mark is C Bros, for Cooper Brothers, rather than D Bros.
Polish it up! If the plating is even halfway decent, it should shine up nicely with a little persistence.
And looking shiny, it would be decorative enough to attract more than pocket change.
Gothic lettering is always a challenge.
